The festival expands in central Gothenburg in 2025.

This year, Kulturkalaset is bigger than ever in central Gothenburg. We’re expanding the festival area to include beautiful Kungsparken – a green oasis where you can experience circus acts and try-it-yourself activities in collaboration with the Gothenburg Dance and Theatre Festival.

The hugely popular Street Food Festival is also growing, stretching from Kungstorget, along Basargatan, and up to BĂ€ltespĂ€nnarparken. Expect a BBQ theme, plenty of seating, great music, delicious food, and a relaxed atmosphere. The entire park will be single-use-free – better for the climate!

Last year’s hit Grönsakstorget is back too! Once again, we’re focusing on younger audiences here, with dance, live acts, workshops, and DJ nights.

It’s easy to walk between the festival areas – all sites are close together and connected by bridges over the canal.

– It’s fantastic that the festival can grow right in the city centre this year. Our central venues are incredibly popular, and now even more people will be able to enjoy Kulturkalaset in a great way,” says Anna Mjörnvik, Project Manager for Göteborgs Kulturkalas.

As always, Kulturkalaset will also spread across Gothenburg through collaborations with events like Ö-Festen at Ringön and ParaPulsfestivalen at Slottsskogsvallen.

See you in August! 🌟
