Several festivals such as Ö-festen on Ringön, Tellusfestivalen and Gamlestadsgalej will be part of Gothenburg Culture Festival, and folk dance on Packhuskajen is back with Lasse Stefanz and Larz Kristerz. There will also be Timbuktu & Damn on Kungstorget, the Gothenburg Symphony Orchestra on Frölunda torg, the inauguration of Bergsjöns Kulturhus, art gifts throughout the city and much more.
– This year, the festival is held both in the city center and in new places, where we collaborate with other festivals and actors. The cultural gift can be ordered in all parts of the city, says Anna Mjörnvik, project manager from Gothenburg & Co, which arranges Gothenburg Culture Festival.
It is already clear that the climate concert Climate Live and the Street Food Festival will come to the festival area Kungstorget. In addition to Timbuktu & Damn!, Hurula, Ana Diaz and Daniel Adams-Ray are also ready for the festival. And there will be more, Climate Live will release its artists during the summer.
The festival’s most sustainable oasis is located in Bältesspännarparken. Here, visitors will be able to hang out and listen to locally produced music with influences from around the world and at the same time taste the food of the future with a focus on food tech, alternative proteins and locally produced food.
– We want to create a festival site with small funds, where the goal is to make a big impression with a small climate footprint. The area is completely disposable and the Gothenburg-based company Urban Food Space is responsible for the food experiences together with various actors on the theme, says Anna Mjörnvik, project manager for Gothenburg Culture Festival.
