Description
The festival site Bältespännarparken is made possible in collaboration with Näringslivsgruppen Göteborg & Co.
For over a decade, the Family Quartet Kolonien has been prominent among innovative Nordic folk music bands. With a style that mixes folk and roots music with hopeful sing-along pop, Kolonien has found its very own sound.
Internationally, they have been referred to as "The Fleet Foxes of Scandinavia" and compared with, among others, Mumford & Sons. Kolonien's music is rooted in the Swedish folk tradition, the nature and the progressive philosophies in the community where they grew up.
In 2010, Kolonien was formed at a music festival in Tanzania. Since then, they have toured extensively around the world and gained a dedicated audience both at home and abroad.
