Description
Jason Diakité, better known as Timbuktu, is one of Sweden's greatest hip hop artists of all time. Since his debut in 1996, he has performed both as a solo artist and in various other constellations. Together with the funk band Damn! they have been touring for over 15 years. Timbuktu has released about ten albums, been awarded lots of Gold and Platinum records, won eight Grammy Awards and four P3 Guld Awards.
With hundreds of concerts, Timbuktu & Damn! has become one of the foremost live orchestras of our time. They have also established themselves far beyond the country's borders. In 2021, Timbuktu released their latest album "Du Gamla Du Nya". He is also up to date with the podcast "This Moment", together with Marcus Samuelsson.
