Medina, The Hellacopters and Loreen are ready for this year’s festival, so is Late Summer Night with Mix Megapol, which features the artists Magnus Uggla, Miriam Bryant and Newkid. As usual, Kulturkalaset is free and open to everyone.

Just like in previous years, the biggest stage will be at Kungstorget, where a number of great artists will play, including Medina, The Hellacopters, Omar Rudberg, Dina Ögon, Loreen, Adaam and Maxida Märak. During Mix Megapol’s Late Summer Night you can experience Magnus Uggla, Miriam Bryant and Newkid.

Dance band in Nordstan

The dance bands are back at the festival, this time in Nordstan. Streaplers, Shine and Bhonus will be playing each night – a much-anticipated program item by many dance band lovers.

– All in all, it feels fantastic to be able to offer so many great artists and such a broad program, completely free of charge, says Anna Mjörnvik, project manager for Gothenburg’s Kulturkalas. It’s extra exciting this year that we’re gearing up and investing in a larger non-disposable festival area.

Single use free street food festival

As usual, you will find Sweden’s largest street food festival on Basargatan next to Kungstorget. With around 60 food trucks, they serve good food and delicious drinks – this time completely disposable, to reduce the festival’s climate impact. Plates, cutlery and mugs are washed on site to be reused – as in a regular restaurant. A test carried out by Gothenburg’s Kulturkalas in collaboration with Streetfoodfestivalen.

For children and young people

New for this year is the family area at Slottsskogsvallen, which offers, among other things, the new initiative the ParaPuls festival with lots of try-on activities in sports for children and young people, with and without functional variation. In the Azalea Valley, there will be the Banff Mountain Film Festival with outdoor activities and outdoor cinema.
The new festival site Grönsakstorget has young people as its target group and there will be dance, creative activities and music performances such as hip-hop, graffiti, recycling clothes, book tips and a DJ.

And much much more…

In addition, this year’s party offers the Tellus Festival in Bergsjön, Ö-fest on Ringön, Gothenburg’s Dance and Theater Festival in Bältespännarparken, Gospel in Flunsåsparken, performances at the Gothenburg Opera and the Symphony in Frölunda Torg and much more.

Welcome to this year´s festival!
