Our festival should be accessible to everyone, regardless of how you are or where you come from. This Our festival should be accessible to everyone; regardless of who you are, where you live or where you come from. We collaborate with other festivals and actors in several locations around town.

We are constantly upgrading our work to create inclusive festival venues: more wheelchair spaces, a focus on reception and hospitality before and during the festival and that we invite you to a festival with free entrance and content for everyone.

New and familiar areas in the city

This year’s Gothenburg Culture Festival was arranged in several places around town and for the first time ever we were in Flunsåsparken, a green oasis in central Hisingen. We were also in Bergsjön, Ringön, Gamlestaden and not to forget the more central festival locations: Kronhuskvarteret, Bältespännarparken and Kungstorget.

An accessible festival

Through training and guidance with Creative Point, Gothenburg’s Kulturkalas has changed gears and improved in several areas to become a more accessible event. The design of festival sites and our website are examples of this.

Equal festival

In the fight for an equal society for all we aim to make sure that the program and communication of the festival is inclusive.
